Basangoma Game Ranch is situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg.

There are over 20 Antelope species to be found on the property, large and small. These include Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Bushbuck, Blesbuck, Mountain and Common Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Duiker, Steenbuck, Impala, Springbuck (Normal and Black), Nyala, Bushpig ect.

We also have the privilege of hosting 2 of the Big Five here, White Rhino and Cape Buffalo.

Predators such as Brown hyena, Genet, Black-backed jackal, Caracal, and African Wildcat are occasionally sighted. The elusive Aardvark, Pangolin and Honey Badger also occur in the area.

This area boasts over 200 bird species. These include raptors such as Snake Eagles, Buzzards and Secretary Birds as well as numerous different Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds.
